Summer Dreams

So here it goes, summer is here and I am so ready for it! I adore this sunshine and all the happiness to my skin and heart that it brings! But on another topic, I have a new hobby: CROCHET! It is soo much fun! I'm just begining to make some slippers! happy. :]

So also, I am ordering some new makeup soon from Avon, and I think that im going to make a drugstore haul, so ill let you in on it when i decide/order. Muchh lovee.

A Hot Rockstar

So it's been soo incredibly hot here in California the last few days. No kidding, it was like 97 degrees yesterday here. I was soo hot i about died at night time. However, it does have an upside: shorts!

So work has been going well, but pretty slow the past few days, kinda boring, but I suppose in August they said that it's going to pick up some more, yay! Also, tomorrow I am giving blood, which I am pretty excited about-but the last time I was going to give blood they said that my iron count (hemoglobin count) was too low, so I couldn't. Hopefully it will be up and running tomorrow.

Also, I just got back from a week at Camp Alandale last week, and it was amazing like always, but it also was a hard week, not just emotionally, but physically. I think I might have picked up a bug or something there...I just feel kinda stomach sick, but very listless recently. Hopefully itll pass soon.

Hannah's Daily Tip: Sometimes following your heart isn't the best thing to do. Alot of the time when I'm trying to make my decision, I want to go with my, "gut", whatever that is. I know that there are people out there who only think with their mind, and we know that they are hand to communicate sometimes; so focused on logic. However, it has to be said that only basing your decisions on emotion can often get you into a world of trouble. Try to keep an even balance between the two, dependence on one or the other can make your decision making very biased.

This song by itself is fairly wondrous, but some of the remixes are actually better, just because they add words and such. However, it is an amazing dance song, and I adore the beat, it's great for hooping also.

Little Love

So dearbies, I am back again, and yes, i know, i need to be more consistent in my updating, and i am going to try! Three times a week! So, my friend just left at the beginning of this week, she came down to spend a week with me here in California and we had alot of fun! The only thing that kinda sucked was that all of that week I had to work, so it was like i spent the day with her and then at night I had to go and work :/.

But regardless, it was great. Also last week was my birthday! Yay, im 19 now! The celebration this year has been extended over a long period of time, but I dont mind at all! I'm getting my presents from the biffshake when I get back to Oregon and some other ones in the mail from a very good friend, I like it better stretched out than on one day anyway.

However! I did get something from the parent, one of which you will see here! We were in a restaurant when I opened it, and I swear, I screamed out loud! Haha, got to love it.

I also got a new Avon order in so yay! This is a new eye primer/under-eye concealer that Mark put out. So not too sure how well itll work, but we will see. The eye primer goes on first before eye-shadow to keep it on all day. I already have a pretty decent concealer from Clinique right now, but well see how well this one works.

To apply it, all that is needed is your finger as the eye primer, and then for the concealer, just use a foundation brush. It is in light/medium tone, i think it also comes in medium/dark as well.


So, they also had this deal thing going on that if you buy from certain Mark pages, that you get these little Cheat Sheet things. These are shine blotters, and you use them with or without makeup on, they are to, abviously, blot or remove excess oil on the skin throughout the day. I don't know about you, but I have oily skin, and these are great to use before you leave in the morning, and maybe when your at lunch in the bathroom. They come in little sheets that you just press on the most oily parts of your face (T-Zone, etc.).

FAVOURITE BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!

Yes, thats right, my Mum splurged and got me a Vera Wang purse!! I was soo excited! So here, the pictures tell the lovely story!

This is just a side note, lovely present from my friend, he sent it to me in the mail, because of my undying loove for Hello Kitty. Dont you just love her? And i loove flowers so its perfect. I love my friends to death.
Also, just an update on my hobbies, I have a new one and a great love for it and the scene that comes with it, thats riiight, hooping! I love hula hooping and its asum to get me skiiinier. :]] Seriously, if you are sick of the doldrums of summer, go get one at Walmart for like $5 and go for it with some sassy music.
Hannah's Tipp: Get out there and be active! I don't know about you, but for me, it's soo easy to just stay inside in the summer and lounge around, with Hulu and a bag of chips. I don't think so! Get out and go for a swim if it's hot, get your tan on! If it's not hot right now, well then, im pretty sure you need to move out of your state and to Cali, because its burning up here! :]]

This song move me beyond words when I heard it for the first time. It is an amazingly moving song about blame and death and innocence. You need to listen to the words when you hear it, perhaps even follow along with the lyrics online if you have trouble keeping up. Might need some Kleenex with you though. Just sayin.

Back in White

Alright, so I am back from my little vacation and I have some interesting news, are you ready?! I Got A Job! Yay! It's at this little place called Peps Pizza, and it is a pizza and bar joint, and its been a whole lot of fun getting to know the crew and everything. It's also a lot of fun to have to do the things that come along with work; i.e. interacting with everyone and such.

Regardless, I still have had time to get out with friends and such, and have a little fun. :]]] Also ive checked out some new places to shop, my new favourite store for shorts and such is New York & Company, they have the absolutely cutest boyfriend shorts!

Pretty little pooches! It is I! And my Avon order has come in! As have the drama of returning to SoCal and all the people here! I thought high school was bad, it was all about who makeout with who. Now in college its all about who is sleeping with who. Ridiculous i tell you. But at least I still have the consistency of a good make-over to make me happy and de-stress.

So, heres the order, and Ive tried out everything except the eyeshadows, but thats tomorrow for my interview. This first thing is this woooonderful eye-makeup removal, and I love it, I ran out when I got home and just had to order some more.

This is new mascara that I got, its a Extend Lash, for longer lashes, and im a real eyelash freak, that and eyeliner are all i really wear on a normal basis. My last mascara was clumping horribly and also it was flaking and not giving me the big, full, black look I wanted, so i threw it away. This is working decently, but my lashes need time to get used to it i think. They dont like change :]

It has a phenomenally bristly wand, just fyi

Band/Song Of The Week: "Cant Stand It" by NeverShoutNever! It's actually a really cute song. I heard it last week on Pandora and just couldn't get enough, I swear, its one of those stupid love songs that you listen to and say, "Well crap. I am in love, huh?" And even if life sucks, you cant help but smile your butt off at this song.

Hannah G's Tipp: This is more of a life tip, but seriously, if you know that you need to do something, but you have been putting it off, just do it. Wake up tomorrow morning and make sure you do it. I dont care if its going to hurt, I dont care if its going to have painful consequences, and I dont care if its going to be hard. Do it. Youll be so glad you did.

California Love

Hello honey's! It is I! Back from the silence (of the lambs! jkjk), but really, i am back, i had an extended break, in which I was moving all of my CRAPOLA form Oregon back here to California. It is soo beautiful down here, and now that things are settled and a little bit more under control, I can give you an update! So here we go.

I have started a many art projects, and perhaps have migrated a bit away from the clothing area and onto craftish/artish things. But i still have a few goodies for you guys. (fashion-wise)

I have been searching frantically all over town for a job, but have yet to find one :/ poor me. I also have seriously been not sleeping well, i think the sandman doesn't like me (ugg, Metallica, deeaathhh). Regardless, if any good sleeping tips come up in conversations, please, let me know, It would be woonderus and greatly appreciated! :]]] Allright, well lets get on with it!

Alright, so here's what was going on: I had this ring, and I didn't want to wear it on my finger, because the only finger that it fit on, already had other rings on it. This ring means a lot to me, it was given to me by a special person, so I decided that I wanted to put it onto a bracelet. Here's how I did it:

1. Start with a bracelet, it needs to have big links on it though

2. Also have your ring handy

4. If the bracelet has charms on it, remove them

5. Use this tool, it is like pliers and it pulls the mental links apart so as to remove the little charms attached to the links

6. Use the tool to close the link around one side of the ring and then to put it on, just use the clip. Perfect! :]

So this is another project that I did for my sister. Her birthday is this month and the motif that is consistent throughout her room is stars and blue. I found this little animal at Michaels and couldn't resist him. I mixed some colours to create the shades of his little feet. I also used a star stamp which I put paint on and then pressed onto her body. I did the same thing to the base, and drew on the eyes.

HAPPYNESS!!!!: So, i bought some new sunglasses, and I would show you the pictures of me in them, but trust me, not sleeping is not doing well for my complexion. Anyway, these are my NEW favourite thing in my closet. So, my other sunglasses broke like everytime i put them on, so i was at J.C. Penny's the other day, and just HAD to get these, arnt they just the cutest? :]

If you didn't know about me, i am a HUGE Hello Kitty fan, and found these at Walmart and im pretty sure i squeeled so loud a couple mirrors broke. :]]

So this is the fun part, I also went out shoe shopping today, because I need like five new pairs of shoes, and just because I love shoe shopping. Regardless, I needed new running shoes, because my old ones just weeernt going to cut it. So, I got these, they are Champions and feel like im walking on air, i swear.

Aaaaand, I saw these at Payless, and just couldn't resist. Arnt they the cutest things? They look like i am perpetually dancing. It's great. And the inside is just a lil bit of heaven. Flowers are so my draggg.

Song/Band of The Day: The Maine. Im not sure if ive mentioned them before, but if I havent, shame on me. They were formed in AZ in 2007 and have a sweet little pop/punk sound. They have FANTASTIC lyrics, and are great for realxing or maybe doing a lil somethin else. ;]

Okay, so its been a crazy couple of weeks, this is the last real week of school here in Oregon, and then its finals and back to Cali! Things have been soo busy, with boys, loads of projects, speeches, and yeah, of course this would happen to me...getting sick right before finals! ://

So ive got Nyquill as my new best friend, and you wont see me without Kleenex's for the next couple weeks.

Regardless! I will pull through. :]

Lets see, starting to pack up things here, but i did get the chance to do a little shopping before I left, ill post pictures later this week of my treasures.

And im starting a new project, so i will post some pictures and keep you updated! Well, now that I think about it, its two new projects! One of them has to do with the fashion photography of others, and the other has to do with bow-ties! Be excited!

Also i will have gads more time when I get back home and many more places and opportunities to go shopping! How college eats all my time. :]

Hannah's Tip Of The Day: If you are tired of one necklace that you have, but it goes suuper cute with your outfit, find another necklace that is also really cute, and layer them together to create a more convoluted look, especially if you are wearing a really plain shirt.

Band/Song Of The Dayy: "Poppin' Champagne" By All Time Low

Fabulous song if for any party (with alcohol or not :]) and it works really well to get people to start dancing. It upbeat and has a fabulous beat to it. Also this band is really great; their lead singer is suuper cute. (yeah, im into the longish hair and skinnyness-kill me :])

Decided to switch this up, I think im going to do a poem, OR thought of the day, maybe ill change it, we will see. :]

Daily Thought: If you have the choice between doing something that is difficult, or doing something easy, take the harder road. We as people are so quick to want everything now, we want things to be easy, but forget that! The harder something is, the more work that you will put into it, and the more reward you will get, because you know that you worked harder for it. Fiiine, ill give you a "real-life" example. :]]

So the other day, I could've just finished this speech, and did it like, okayish, but i shut off the computer, and really worked on making it good, persuasive and strong. And every though i got to bed later than i wanted, in the end, it was worth it. At least to me. Think about itt!
